Job Description:

Join Ryder System, a leader in transportation and logistics, as a Freight Brokerage Carrier Sales Representative within the Sales & Business Development department. This role is key for driving revenue growth and expanding Ryder's freight brokerage service offerings. You will develop and manage relationships with carriers to optimize transportation solutions for a diverse range of clients, ensuring cost efficiency and excellent customer service. Candidates should have a talent for negotiation and a deep understanding of market trends to effectively service and expand the client base. This role demands a results-oriented individual with outstanding communication abilities and a knack for building lasting professional relationships. Ryder values innovation and employee development, providing a collaborative and inclusive work environment with opportunities for advancement. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in the field, a BA/BS degree, and certifications such as a Certified Transportation Broker (CTB). Develop and manage carrier relationships to expand Ryder's freight brokerage services. Negotiate rates with carriers to optimize costs and ensure quality service delivery. Monitor carrier performance and ensure transportation efficiency and customer satisfaction. Coordinate with internal teams to support business development initiatives. Utilize industry knowledge to identify and capitalize on emerging market trends.
