Hi! We are an Optometry office located in Scottsdale, AZ and we are looking for a Full time or Part time optometric technician. Our hours are Monday - Thursday 7:30AM-6:00PM. We plan on opening Saturdays once or twice a month, sometime in the future. This will be a requirement when that time comes, but as of right now you will get a 3 day weekend! We can talk about custom hours for part time applicants. We are looking for a friendly, outgoing, forward thinking, tech savvy individual with an excellent bedside manner. We want someone who is a team player with a strong work ethic and who is self motivated. You must be driven, dependable and willing to take on new task. We are a firm believer of cross training all of our employees and giving them the opportunity to grow as an individual and to grow with our office. We would like to see our technician grow into an optician role and we will train and give you the tools needed to succeed in achieving those goals . Sales is part of the job, but we do not have quotas to meet. We rather offer the patient what is best for their eye health than to sell them something they don't need. Your job duties include (but not limited to) -Work up patients and do all preliminary screenings - which includes gathering the medical data needed for eye exams before the doctor sees the patients. -Pretesting with Auto refracter, VFT, Optos, OCT, ICare, ect. -Clean and sanitize all exam rooms -Input finding on our IPad EHR system EyefinityEHR and EyefinityPM -Scribing for the doctor on our IPad EHR -Front desk tasks, which includes greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling eye exams, obtaining insurance authorizations, and other various reception-type responsibilities -Understanding of vision and medical benefits -Insurance authorization and verification -Basic frame repair and maintenance/adjustments -Lensometry skills -Knowledge in contact lenses and the ability to teach insertion and removal -Ability to educate patient on appropriate lens hygiene and different contact lens designs -Sales -Verify accuracy of lens orders -Dispensing glasses and contacts -Excellent computer skills Preferred Skills Excellence in communication skills High level of initiative and works well in a team environment Proven customer service skills Prior experience working in an Optometry practice is a definite plus Knowledge of lens design Frame Styling If you think you would be a great fit for our office, please email us your resume for consideration.
