value for one or more products. Key responsibilities include
working with stakeholders to understand their needs, and with
product owners or specialists to ensure they are aligning
priorities. Job expectations include ensuring delivery of products
that meet client expectations, including features, security,
availability, resiliency, timelines and costs. The Data Transport
Product Manager serves as the end?to?end owner of the Data
Transport product, with accountability across vision, strategy,
roadmap, financial management, risk posture, and lifecycle
execution. This role requires deep domain expertise in data
communications, strong executive presence, and the ability to
influence engineering, architecture, finance, risk, and vendor
partners to deliver measurable business outcomes. Responsibilities:
Generates the vision and roadmap for the program based on customer
requirements, industry trends, regulations, and the strategic
direction for the business or technology domain Communicates the
program vision and roadmap to stakeholders, product owners and the
teams Oversees the budget(s) for one or more products by working
closely with finance partners on both personnel and non-personnel
expenses Provides input into defining business capabilities and
aligning them to products or creating new products to support them
Ensures product availability by partnering closely with demand and
capacity teammates Develop business cases for new products and
additional features for existing products Partners with the product
owners and the teams to ensure that optimum value is obtained
through technology and subject-matter expertise and understanding
of the business and industry trends The Data Transport Product
Manager serves as the end?to?end owner of the Data Transport
product, with accountability across vision, strategy, roadmap,
financial management, risk posture, and lifecycle execution. This
role requires deep domain expertise in data communications, strong
executive presence, and the ability to influence engineering,
architecture, finance, risk, and vendor partners to deliver
measurable business outcomes. Product Strategy & Roadmap Own and
define the vision, strategy, and multi?year roadmap for the
multi-hundred-million-dollar Data Transport product, informed by
customer needs, industry trends, regulatory requirements, and
enterprise technology strategy. Ensure alignment of the Data
Transport roadmap with broader Network Services and portfolio
objectives. Articulate product capabilities, priorities, and
trade?offs clearly to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
Product Ownership & Delivery Partner closely with architecture and
engineering teams to prioritize features, capabilities, and
delivery milestones , ensuring outcomes are aligned with business
value and operational resilience. Participate and act as major
stake holder in technical product and vendor selections as
required, including RFx processes, evaluations, and
recommendations. Act as the primary product representative to
internal and external stakeholders, including Global Information
Security, Finance, Audit/Risk, Lines of Business, CIO
organizations, and vendor partners. Financial & Commercial
Management Own and govern an annual budget of
several?hundred?million?dollars , with full accountability for
planning, forecasting, and ongoing financial performance of the
Data Transport product. Partner closely with Senior Technology
Executives, Finance, and Economics teams to manage spend throughout
the delivery lifecycle, drive cost transparency, and ensure
investment decisions align to strategic priorities. Continuously
optimize the global data carrier cost base, maximizing the Bank’s
commercial leverage to deliver market?leading pricing, contractual
terms, and service levels. Operational Health, Risk & Lifecycle
Management Continuously monitor and manage product health through
inventory, performance, usage, cost, risk, and quality metrics
(e.g., CAPM, error rates, utilization). Make informed product
lifecycle decisions , including investment, optimization,
modernization, and retirement recommendations. Maintain
accountability for risk, resiliency, and vulnerability management
across the Data Transport product lifecycle, ensuring compliance
with internal policies and regulatory expectations. Required
Qualifications Proven experience operating in an Agile delivery
environment , with hands?on familiarity with tools such as Jira,
Kanban, Confluence, and Horizon. Strong communication skills with
the ability to distill complex technical and financial concepts
into clear, compelling narratives tailored to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated executive presence , including the ability to
confidently present to senior leaders and articulate decisions
grounded in data, client impact, and strategic alignment.
Experience collaborating across planning, development, delivery,
and implementation teams to define product requirements and
execution plans. Strong program and stakeholder management skills,
capable of leading complex, multi?disciplinary initiatives.
Self?directed and highly motivated, with the ability to manage
multiple large initiatives concurrently. Proven ability to
influence without formal authority, negotiate priorities, manage
trade?offs, and resolve conflicts across business, architecture,
and engineering teams. Experience working effectively within
geographically dispersed, global teams. Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science,
Information Security, or a related technical discipline. Strong
familiarity of finance and accounting concepts related to
budgeting, cost management, and vendor management and economics.
Experience in network and security architecture within a large,
complex enterprise environment. 5 years of experience as a
networking subject?matter expert. Working knowledge of networking
technologies and protocols, including: High capacity WAN technology
and equipment Global carrier architectures Undersea cable routes
Cloud Services Telecommunications Expense Management (TEM) OSPF,
IS?IS, BGP IP Multicast VXLAN MACsec Skills: Financial Management
