Peoria's Information Technology Department has an excellent opportunity for an IT Project Manager who will work in a professional environment to provide high-level project management support for the City's technology projects. Some of the daily duties consist of planning, directing, and coordinating projects. Leading cross functional teams to determine and translate business and/or technical requirements into technology solutions, and managing project costs, resources, change requests, risks, and issues to ensure maximum benefits are realized. In addition to being a results-oriented people person, this person will have project management experience in the implementation of IT infrastructure, system integration, and/or software applications.

  Minimum Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in any field or equivalent.
    
  • Experience: A minimum of five years' experience as a Project Manager
    
    Licenses and Certifications:
    
    • 
      
    • ITIL certification within 6 months of hire.
      
      Preferred / Desirable Qualifications:
      
      • 
        
      • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desired.
        
      • Experience in a municipal or government setting is preferred.
