working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Peds Med/Surg RN in
Prescott Valley, Arizona, 86314! Job Title: Registered Nurse
Profession: RN Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift:
12-hour nights, every other weekend Hours per Shift: 36 hours per
week Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Yes Certifications: BLS,
ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Experience working with children is required.
Must be willing to care for both adult and pediatric patients.
Description: The clinician must take and pass a dysrhythmia exam
within two attempts prior to signing the contract. If the clinician
fails to score 80% in two attempts, they will be disqualified for 6
months. This position involves caring for both pediatric and adult
patients on a mixed unit. The ratio of adults to pediatric patients
may vary. The registered nurse may be required to float to another
unit to provide care for adult patients during low census periods.
Primary responsibilities include monitoring and stabilizing
pediatric patients with respiratory illnesses, seizures,
dehydration, and post-operative needs. No feeding tubes,
tracheostomies, or ventilators are managed. The nurse should be
able to read telemetry strips, as there is telemetry available for
adult patients. Weekend requirements include working every other
weekend. Holiday rotation will be part of the scheduling to ensure
fair distribution. In the event of low census, staff will rotate
standby turns. Nurse aids are available, taking care of patient
ratios for optimal care. The dress code requires navy scrubs.
