Job Description:

As a LAB Pathology Navigator at Sonora Quest Laboratories, you will be a key team member within our state-of-the-art laboratory, driving the efficient flow and processing of pathological samples. This critical role supports both Banner Health and Quest Diagnostics through the facilitation of diagnostic testing, ensuring seamless communication and logistical management between the lab, healthcare providers, and patients. You will optimize lab operations through advanced coordination, uphold stringent quality controls, and directly contribute to timely and accurate medical diagnostics that are vital for effective patient care. Facilitate the submission, tracking, and processing of specimens within the pathology department. Serve as the primary liaison between pathologists, healthcare providers, and patient care teams. Ensure strict compliance with healthcare regulations and laboratory standards. Streamline communication processes to improve turnaround times for diagnostic reports. Maintain accurate records of all pathology specimens and consultations. Collaborate on quality control procedures and audits to ensure accuracy of diagnostic results. Proficient in laboratory information systems (LIS) Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively Advanced knowledge of pathology processes and terminology Capable of handling sensitive information with utmost confidentiality Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by the ASCP or similar HIPAA trained
