skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team! As a
Pediatric Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in
providing exceptional dental care to children, ensuring their
comfort and well-being throughout their dental visits. This is a
Part-time position with the potential of a future Full-time
position. Responsibilities: Greet and comfort pediatric patients in
a warm, friendly, and age-appropriate manner Assist the dentist and
hygienist during a variety of pediatric dental procedures,
including cleanings, sealants, fillings, and sedation Prepare and
sterilize instruments and treatment rooms according to OSHA and CDC
guidelines Take digital X-rays and intraoral photos as needed
Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene and
post-operative care instructions Maintain accurate patient records
and update chart notes in the dental software system Monitor
patients under nitrous oxide and assist with behavior management
techniques such as Tell-Show-Do, distraction, and positive
reinforcement Support sedation and general anesthesia procedures,
including pre-op prep and post-op care Assist with inventory
management and restocking clinical supplies Collaborate with front
office staff to ensure smooth patient flow and on-time scheduling
Follow all infection control, HIPAA, and safety protocols to ensure
a safe environment for patients and staff Skills: Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills with children and parents
Ability to remain calm, patient, and positive in a fast-paced
environment Proficiency in using dental software (Open Dental or
similar) Strong understanding of sterilization and infection
control protocols Skilled in taking digital X-rays and impressions
Familiarity with behavior management techniques (e.g.,
Tell-Show-Do, voice control, distraction) Knowledge of dental
terminology and pediatric procedures Attention to detail and
ability to multitask Team-oriented with a flexible, can-do attitude
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required Join our

school diploma or equivalent Completion of a dental assisting
program Arizona X-ray Certification (within 60 days of hire) CPR
Certification (within 60 days of hire) Proven experience as a
dental assistant, preferably in a pediatric dental setting
Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology, specifically
related to pediatric dentistry Familiarity with dental instruments
and equipment, and the ability to handle them safely and
effectively Basic understanding of dental radiography techniques
and radiation safety measures Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills, particularly in interacting with children and
parents Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with
exceptional attention to detail Ability to work effectively in a
fast-paced environment while ensuring patient comfort and safety
Proficiency in using dental software and computer applications for
record-keeping and scheduling A genuine passion for working with
children and a commitment to delivering outstanding pediatric
dental care
