Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVICU - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/01/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - CVICU Job Details: • Work varied schedule with weekend and holiday rotation requirements • Possible call responsibilities and float to support other units as needed • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care for cardiovascular intensive care patients • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs • Formulate individualized plans of care utilizing assessment data and patient/family input • Implement care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities • Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising plans as needed • Document all aspects of patient care in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements • Provide care based on physician orders and nursing plans in compliance with standards of care • Delegate appropriately and provide nursing supervision to other licensed nurses and personnel • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care • Participate in education, orientation, and mentoring of facility personnel and students • Must maintain current valid RN license in state of practice • BLS certification required • Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required • Experience in acute care setting within past 12 months as Registered Nurse in specialty area required • Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred Facility: This medical center provides comprehensive cardiovascular intensive care services as part of a larger healthcare organization.
