Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVICU Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/12/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - CVICU Job Details: • Work in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit with varied work schedule • Weekend and holiday rotation required • Possible float to support units as needed • Current RN license in state of practice required • BLS certification required • Minimum one year experience in acute care hospital setting required • Experience must include working in acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies • Provide direct patient care utilizing specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills • Complete patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs • Formulate and implement comprehensive care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary team • Delegate appropriately and provide nursing supervision to other licensed nurses and personnel • Document all nursing interventions and patient responses accurately and timely • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities • Physical demands include ability to lift up to 75 pounds, stand, walk, bend frequently, and use proper body mechanics • Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area through annual validations Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive medical center providing advanced cardiovascular intensive care services.
