In this role, you will deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care services to patients while working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a high-volume, fast-paced hospital environment where your expertise will directly impact patient safety, treatment outcomes, and overall quality of care. /n Key Responsibilities /n /n - Medication Therapy Management: Review and monitor patient medication therapy for safety and efficacy, considering individual health status. Provide recommendations to the patient care team and document interventions. /n - Dispensing & Compliance: Accurately prepare, label, and dispense medications in compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including controlled substance regulations. /n - Inventory & Safety: Ensure proper procurement, preparation, storage, and availability of medications for patients. /n - Leadership & Supervision: Oversee technical personnel involved in drug preparation, maintenance, and dispensing processes. /n - Clinical Collaboration: Serve as a liaison with medical and nursing staff, offering guidance on drug utilization, regulatory standards, and Joint Commission compliance. /n - Physician Consultation: Provide expertise on medication utilization and therapeutic alternatives as needed. /n /n Qualifications /n Education /n /n - Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy /n - At least 1 year of inpatient hospital experience or recent completion of an inpatient residency program /n /n Licensure /n /n - Current Pharmacist License in the State of Arizona /n /n Experience & Skills /n /n - Inpatient hospital experience (minimum 1 year) or residency training /n - Strong leadership skills with the ability to thrive in a high-volume clinical setting /n - Ability to self-manage and work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with the care team /n - Flexibility to work rotating shifts and weekends /n /n Details /n /n - Schedule: Rotating shifts (10:00 AM–8:00 PM or 12:00 PM–10:00 PM) /n - Weekend Rotation: Every third weekend (12:00 PM–10:00 PM) /n - Departments Served: ICU (adult and neonatal), Emergency, Surgery, and multiple specialty care areas, including the Surprise/Heart Hospital /n /n Why Join Us? /n At Abrazo Arrowhead Campus, you’ll work alongside a skilled, collaborative team across diverse departments.
