Job Description:
Summary of Job: The Behavioral Health Technician II (BHT II)
acts as an advocate for the needs and rights of individuals served
by providing empathic, active listening skills, case management and
support services in order to maximize the opportunity to create
recovery partnerships and a recovery environment. The BHT II also
performs comprehensive psychosocial assessments and treatment plans
under the supervision of a licensed professional. Essential Duties
and Responsibilities: ---Connects with new participants, on site or
while the participant is incarcerated or hospitalized, to obtain
referral information and necessary solutions. ---Completes
comprehensive psychosocial assessments and collaborates in the
creation of individualized treatment plans with participants and
treatment team members under the supervision of a licensed
professional. ---Provides individual and group counseling under the
supervision of a licensed professional. ---Teaches recovery and
life skills using recovery tools. ---Cultivates connectedness in
the person's life (self, others, the environment, and to meaning
and purpose). ---Assesses emergency situations, notifies supervisor
of actual or potential challenges, exercises judgment in stressful
conditions and responds calmly and quickly. ---Completes clinical
documentation as required. ---Develops and maintains community
resources for education, information and referrals appropriate to
participant's needs. ---Understands and adheres to RI International
compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and
Conflict of Interest Policies. ---Performs other related duties as
assigned. Job Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an

verified by a licensed professional within six (6) months of hire
and confirmed by a completed attestation form.) ---Basic computer

regulatory guidelines. ---Effective communication skills.
---Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral health field from an
accredited college or university; or ---Bachelor's Degree in any
field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one
(1) year of full-time behavioral health experience; or ---High
School Diploma or equivalent and a combination of education in a
behavioral health field and full-time behavioral health experience
totaling at least two (2) years; or ---High School Diploma or
equivalent and a minimum of four (4) years of full-time behavioral
health experience. Driving Requirements: ---If driving is required
for this position, must meet all requirements outlined in RI
International driving policy. ---If not qualified to drive per
driving policy, a Non-Driver Attestation form must be signed. A
Direct Service Competency Checklist must be completed as part of
the new hire onboarding process. Physical Demands : May include
work close to the eyes and substantial motions of the wrist, hands,
and/or fingers. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, handling,
finger dexterity; eye-hand-foot coordination, use of corrected
vision; color vision; use of auditory senses. May be required to
lift up to twenty (20) pounds. Work Environment May work in an
office environment or behavioral health facility. May have contact
with individuals who are agitated and/or confused. Work may include
travel throughout the geographic region. ADDENDUM - Arizona

accredited college or university; or ---Bachelor's Degree in any
field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one
(1) year of full-time behavioral health experience; or ---High
