Job Description:
Safety Statement: This is a safety-sensitive position. Summary
of Job: The Nurse Practitioner position is responsible for
coordinating and providing medical/clinical services including
engagement, assessment, differential diagnosis, recovery service
planning, medication management, education, and risk assessment and
discharge planning. The Nurse Practitioner position also uses
Recovery Coaching to maximize the opportunity to create recovery
partnerships and a recovery environment. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities: ---Supervises or provides nursing and medical
care in compliance with licensing regulations and accreditation
standards. ---Provides appropriate treatment and referral according
to individual's needs. ---Ensures completion of designated reviews
for all new individuals brought to the facility, making appropriate
dispositions in accordance with policy. ---Prescribes and
administers medication. ---Supervises special diet requirements.
---Initiates and/or ensures appropriate response to all medical
emergencies. ---Communicates complaints and incidents to
supervisory personnel. ---Completes clinical documentation as
required. ---Understands and adheres to RI International compliance
standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of
Interest Policies. ---Keeps abreast of all federal and state
regulations and laws and all RI International policies as they
presently exist and as they change or are modified. ---Performs
other related duties assigned. Job Requirements: To perform this

involuntary commitment procedures. ---Valid and current
state-specific Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration required.
---Other credentials as required for credentialing. ---Master's
Degree from an accredited School of Nursing with appropriate
training as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner.
---Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Certificate
required. ---Experience working in an acute psychiatric setting and
training and experience in addiction preferred. Driving
Requirements: ---If driving is required for this position, must
meet all requirements outlined in RI International driving policy.
---If not qualified to drive per driving policy, a Non-Driver
Attestation form must be signed. A Provider Competency Checklist
must be completed as part of the new hire onboarding process.
Physical Demands: May include work close to the eyes and
substantial motions of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers. Frequent
sitting, standing, walking, handling, finger dexterity;
eye-hand-foot coordination, use of corrected vision; color vision;
use of auditory senses. May be required to lift up to twenty (20)
pounds. Work Environment May work in an office environment or
behavioral health facility. May have contact with individuals who
are agitated and/or confused. Work may include travel throughout
