Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer -
Level 2 or 3 to support the GPI program’s Test & Evaluation
(T&E) Integrated Product Team (IPT) to serve as the Glide Phase
Interceptor (GPI) program's flight experiments (demos) and flight
tests. The T&E IPT has whole landscape ownership of program
test campaign through Initial Operational Capability (IOC). T&E
IPT is accountable to ensure ground and flight test hardware is
ready for test execution and post test data certification. Seeking
candidate that has strong technical depth in systems test and
evaluation with emphasis in using environmental requirements and
systems specifications to forge test objectives and subsequent
requirements of component, subsystem, and system. This position is
100% on site in Chandler, AZ. Role Description & Responsibilities:
The candidate will serve as a Systems Engineer for the GPI Program
requiring the candidate to function in a dynamic multi-disciplinary
environment. The candidate should possess strong technical problem
solving, written and verbal communication skills to generate and
document system level interceptor and mission specific objectives
that are traced to requirements for Demo flights and eventual
validation flights, perform vehicle performance assessments and
participate in system level verification/data review activities.
Creates new system requirements based on flight test objectives and
intended functionality. Manages requirement changes in the
Requirements Management databases (DOORS) working effectively with
IPT leaders, team members, and government customers. The candidate
should possess a strong resolve to drive tasks to completion
autonomously and possess demonstrated mentoring/training skills.
Creates and manages both original and revised
specification/interface definition documents and coordinates
document approval through peer review and signature process.
Provide data for and assists in risk management (identifies
potential risk, trade study processes, and represent these risks in
formal reviews with internal and external stakeholders. Manages
aspects of system design, analyses, interface verification,
testing, and failure/anomaly resolution or mission operations.
Participates in the creation of and manages changes to system or
subsystem analytical models. Add verbiage to highlight ensuring the
goals of using ground testing leading up to flight as well as
flight data are traced to objectives of flight. Data review and
verification (manage post processing toolset and identify SME POC
that will verify data meets objectives of ground test and flight.
Prepares and presents materials at major milestone meetings. Add
contributing and eventually running formal reviews with internal
and external stakeholders. leading up to flight. Help ensure all
EGSE/MGSE is designed per test regime CONOP minimum viable needs,
meets critical path need to ground and flight tests, Participate in
the integration and validation of said equipment, and ensure proper
configuration control for equipment touching flight hardware. Basic
Qualifications: This position may be offered at the Engineer Level
2 or Principal Level 3. Salary Level 2 $79,300 - $118,900 Salary
Level 3 $89,400 - $147,600 Engineer Systems Level 2 Requires BS in
Engineering with a minimum of 2 years related experience, Masters
Degree with 0 years of related experience Engineer Systems Level 3
Requires BS in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years related
experience, Masters Degree with 3 years of related experience
Common Basic Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship is required Must have
an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of
application, current and within scope Strong oral and written

Qualifications: A strong experienced-based and academic foundation
in Systems Engineering fundamentals is desired. Experience with
Northrop Grumman Space Systems LVBU Systems Engineering
standards/guidelines and expectations is desired. Experience with
external customer interfacing (meetings, presentation, negotiation)
is desired. System testing and launch operations experience is
desired. Experience using Teamcenter (or similar PLM systems) to
manage and release engineering documents, including workflows,
revision control, and approvals. Primary Level Salary Range:
$79,300.00 - $118,900.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 -
$147,600.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline;
however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when
determining base salary offers such as the scope and
responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience,
education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the
position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift
differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as
well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in
Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of
benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability
insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off
