Job DescriptionSalary: Autism Instructional Teacher - 2022/2023
School Year - West Valley Campus (K-4)Are you interested in

This is the perfect position for you! As an Instructional Lead
Teacher at Arizona Autism Charter Schools, you can work as a
teacher under a Certified Special Education Teacher while working
on your degree or certificate!Under the supervision and direction
of the SPED Program Manager and the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
Manager; the Instructional Lead Teacher will teach and implement
Arizona Autism Charter School's (AZACS) adopted curriculum and
students' IEP goals within the AZACS structured classroom
model.Candidates must be experienced with classroom teaching, ABA
teaching strategies, and have significant experience conducting
these activities within school settings. The candidate must
demonstrate the ability to be trained, coached and be able to
motivate instructional staff in the classroom. The Instructional
Lead Teacher will work hand-in-hand with the SPED Program Manager
and the ABA Manager implementing a best-practice education model to
achieve optimal results for students on the autism spectrum and
related disorders.Duties:
- Serve as lead teacher and point person in a classroom of 8-14
students
- Work with a classroom team that includes two Behavior
Specialists with the support and oversight of two Program
Managers
- Ensure classroom support staff are implementing instructional
strategies and lessons as set forth by Program Managers
- Create a safe and effective learning environment
- Weekly lesson planning for instruction of state standards with
support staff and SPED Program Manager
- Provide daily feedback to support staff
- Participate in regular observations and in-the-moment coaching
from SPED Program Manager and ABA Manager and implement action
steps following coaching sessions
- Collect and report data with high fidelity and analyze data
bi-weekly to make instructional decisions
- Regular parent communication following AZACS guidelines
- Modification of materials to meet student needs and IEP
requirements
- Maintain substitute plans in case of Instructional Lead
absence
- Participate in all duties and responsibilities as appropriate
for an AZACS faculty member
- Contribute to IEPs as appropriate
- Other duties as assigned by the administration Minimum
Qualifications:
- No Certification required! Candidates must be enrolled in a
certification program or have a bachelors degree and be willing to
participate in AZACS' brand new teacher cert program.
- At least 3 years of experience working with students with
moderate to severe disabilities
- Mastery and enthusiasm for best practices in autism education
and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Track record of success in behavior management with students
with autism or other special needs
- Ability to approach situations with optimism and
perseverance
- Ability to communicate with parents, co-workers and
professional contacts in a courteous and professional manner and
following AZACS guidelines
- Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks
simultaneously
- Ability to exercise reasonable judgment and maintain
confidentiality
- Experience in structured teaching, center-based model
preferredRequired:
- Valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card
- Experience and training in Applied Behavior Analysis(ABA)
- Must have: Bachelors degree OR previous teaching experience AND
interested in obtaining a teaching certification OR be currently

- Set-up of lessons and instructional activities for classroom
support staff. Coaches, monitors, and mentors classroom support
staff working with students with disabilities.ADA AND OTHER

reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking,
hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.Light Work: Exerting up to
